Vernon (Polly) Lambert Vanderford Curtis died Sunday, July 21, 1996, at Magnolia Hospital in Corinth, Mississippi.
Polly was born January 5, 1913, in Corinth. She worked most of her life as a nurse and was in charge of the drug room at the Magnolia Hospital in Corinth. She raised her daughter alone from birth until she went off to college.
Polly is survived by two grandchildren, Darin Kennedy and wife Kimberly of Hillsboro, Texas, and Derek Kennedy of Bedford, Texas, and one sister, Cora Mitchell of Corinth, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Hubert Vanderford; her second husband, Cecil Ellis (Pete) Curtis; her daughter, Jonceal Vanderford Kennedy; her parents William T and Cora B Lambert; her brothers, William Lambert, Milton Lambert, Harris Lambert; and her sister Irene Lambert.
Her funeral is Wednesday, July 24, at Coleman Funeral Home with burial at Jerusalem Church of Christ Cemetery outside Corinth.
